Advent Day 7 - Littlebury Green Chapel

The hamlet of Littlebury Green stands up the road from the larger village of Littlebury in Essex, and forms part of the parish that includes Audley End. St Peter, Littlebury GreenAlthough I'd been past the main church at Littlebury in the past, I only spotted the tiny chapel of St Peter at Littlebury Green when I drove through the hamlet.

The chapel is corrugated metal painted a lovely bright green on the outside, with a wood-lined interior. The chapel is a daughter church of Littlebury's Holy Trinity, and was built in 1885 as a chapel of ease (to save villagers the trek to Littlebury). Unfortunately I couldn't find much else about the chapel online, but it's so cute that I had to include it in the advent series!
