This book is in good condition. The boards are covered with green cloth, with gilt and black lettering on the spine and the front board. There are no marks on the boards and even the corners are barely scuffed. The top of the spine is slightly bent from being used to get the book off the bookshelf, but even then there is no fading or damage to it.
The first page on the inside of the book has been cut out by a previous owner, possibly because it held a dedication or some other mark that they did not want to keep. However all the other pages, including the title page and contents, are present. The spine is secure and in good condition, showing very little sign of wear and no signs of cracking.
This book was published in 1898 and is in great condition for it’s age. It had clearly been carefully looked after by it’s previous owner and should last it’s next owner for years to come!
