A vintage postcard from the late 1900s showing "Clumber Church" in Nottinghamshire.
This vintage postcard states that it is a shot of "Clumber Church", this is the church of St Mary the Virgin which stands in Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire. The church was completed in 1889, so was relatively new at the time this postcard was sent.
Although there is no date written on the back of this postcard, the stamp is a green half penny stamp depicting King Edward VII, and the postmark reads "May 2 08", suggesting that this postcard was sent in 1908.
There is a message in pencil on the back addressed to Miss M Mardell at the Alexandra Gallery in Brompton Hospital, Fulham. The message reads "Dear Daisy, Have sent the card hope you are feeling better Love Florrie".
